Discover the Story Behind Strezzy

Driven by Detail. Built on Car Culture.

Based in Los Angeles and proudly family-owned, Strezzy is a minimalist car apparel brand created for enthusiasts who want to represent car culture without wearing loud, cluttered graphics.

We create car T-shirts, automotive hoodies, and everyday car enthusiast clothing inspired by JDM icons, vintage turbo cars, European performance, modern exotics, and the experiences that connect automotive enthusiasts.

Our approach is simple: clean typography, restrained graphics, subtle humor, and references that mean something to the people who understand them.

Meet the Founder

Alex, founder of Strezzy, wearing a minimalist V10s and Caviar car T-shirt

Hi, I’m Alex, the founder of Strezzy.

Cars have been an obsession for as long as I can remember. I grew up in Moldova, where I would sit by the window of the public bus with my mom and call out every make and model I recognized.

When my family moved to America in 1994, that obsession came with me. Cars eventually became more than something I admired—they became the center of friendships, road trips, late-night meets, broken engines, questionable modifications, and some of my favorite memories.

From Pop-Ups & Boost to JDM Car Culture

My first car was a black-and-red 1987 Mitsubishi Starion that I bought for $1,600. It had cut springs, mismatched body panels, rear-wheel drive, and a modified turbo setup making close to 350 horsepower.

Giving a teenager that combination probably wasn’t the most sensible decision, but it introduced me to everything I still love about enthusiast cars: boost, mechanical personality, imperfection, and the feeling that your car is completely your own.

That period eventually led to turbocharged DSMs, a Chrysler Conquest, a 2JZ Supra, countless car meets, road trips, online forums, and years spent around the JDM and import communities.

Many Strezzy designs come directly from those memories. Pieces like Pop Ups & Boost, My Turbo Is Bigger Than Yours, and other inside references aren’t just generic car graphics. They come from actually living the culture.

From JDM to Los Angeles

After college, I moved to Los Angeles and my automotive interests expanded into European performance cars and exotics. Years of building businesses eventually allowed me to achieve one of my childhood goals: owning an Audi R8.

Today, I drive a 2020 R8 that I customized with a full racing livery—a long way from the mismatched $1,600 Starion, but part of the same story.

The cars changed. The obsession never did.

Why I Started Strezzy

After years of building and scaling e-commerce brands through my digital marketing, SEO, and e-commerce consulting work, I wanted to build something rooted in a part of my life that had always been there.

I also had a problem: most automotive apparel wasn’t something I actually wanted to wear.

I have always preferred a simple everyday uniform—T-shirts, hoodies, shorts, track pants, and sneakers. I wanted car clothing that worked with that style instead of oversized photographs, excessive graphics, and traditional motorsports merchandise.

Strezzy was created to fill that gap.

Our designs are made for enthusiasts who don’t need to shout about their passion. A turbo reference, a familiar phrase, an engine code, a silhouette, or a joke only another enthusiast understands can say enough.

Our Approach

  • Original automotive designs: Inspired by genuine experiences with JDM cars, turbo platforms, European performance cars, and modern exotics.
  • Minimalist by design: Clean typography, restrained graphics, subtle humor, and thoughtful details.
  • Made for everyday wear: Automotive clothing that works beyond the garage, meet, or track day.
  • Family-owned: Strezzy is independently operated from Los Angeles with a focus on thoughtful design and customer care.

Car Culture, Worn Differently

Strezzy exists for the people who recognize the reference without needing it explained.

Whether you’re into JDM apparel, 80s turbo cars, manual transmissions, naturally aspirated engines, or modern supercars, our goal is the same: create automotive clothing that feels authentic to the culture and effortless to wear.

Cars have been part of my story for as long as I can remember. Being able to turn those memories into designs—and see them become part of someone else’s daily rotation—is what makes Strezzy special to me.

Thank you for being part of the journey.

Keep on driving.
